IAWM Congress 2011, September 15-18, Flagstaff, Arizona USA
  The International Alliance for Women in Music (IAWM) and Northern Arizona University School of Music, in cooperation with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra are pleased to announce the IAWM Congress 2011 to be held September 15-18 in Flagstaff, AZ.

  The theme of our congress is “In Beauty We Walk: Changing Women and the New Musical Landscape.” The four-day congress will be held on the campus of Northern Arizona University and will feature established and upcoming women composers as well as students, musicologists, music theorists and ethnomusicologists, educators, performers and conductors who will contribute their knowledge and expertise in concerts, workshops, papers and panel discussions.
 The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in Nebraska City, NE offers 2- to 8-week residencies year-round for writers, visual artists, and music composers. Housing, studio space, $100/week stipend are provided.


 Approximately 50 residencies are awarded per year.

 Two deadlines each year: postmarked March 1 for the following July through December 15; postmarked September 1 for the following January through June 15.


  There is a $25 application fee.

  The 22nd Music Festival of Nations is seeking performers for the Summer of 2010, to perform at our Concerti del Tempietto, at the Archelogical Park of Marcellus' Theater, in the summer of 2010.
