Welcome to the 36th Annual DownBeat Student Music Awards on ArtsApp

We are currently accepting entries for the 36th Annual DownBeat Student Music Awards. The awards, considered one of the top student music competitions in the world, offer categories for junior high, high school and university music students and bands.

All entries must be uploaded by January 7, 2012 at 11:59pm Central Time.

The application process is quick and easy:

This year's Student Music Awards are powered by ArtsApp to help streamline the process. No more printing out pdf entry forms. No more burning tunes onto CDs. No more overnight mail to beat the deadline. Simply sign up at the top of this page and follow the simple directions.

If you are new to ArtsApp, you'll need to click on the "Register" link at the top of the page. Once you've signed in, use the following steps to complete your submission:

 1) Select your category and division.
 2) Fill out the brief application form (online)
 3) Click the 'Continue' button, and you will be at the upload media page. Add a title and notes for your submission when prompted. Click the Add Files button to begin uploading your Entry.
 4) Make sure you read the requirements for your category.
 5) Click on the 'My Credits' tab to pay the $5 online submission fee via credit / debit card.
 6) Click on the 'Next' button to finalize your application. You will receive a confirmation email after completing your application.
 7) You will need to repeat these steps for each entry.
 

Note: The ArtsApp Submission fee for the Student Music Awards is $5 per category. You will pay this fee on the 'My Credits' tab once you've signed in.

You can apply to the same category only once per profile, so if you would like to submit twice to the same category, you must create another ArtsApp username.
